I am so lucky to be able to have my sister, Denise Garner, on The KnowNothing Podcast. This episode zhe introduced me to daily family vlog channels on YouTube such as itsJudysLife and the Sacconejolys. It was interesting to experience something that my sister was obviously passionate about and followed very closely. We discussed why she loved watching people document their every day lives as well as if she would ever get behind the camera to film her own life.
We also talked about Denise's struggle with anxiety and depression and how watching daily vlog channels helped her through aspects of her mental illness. I know that it was important to Denise to be able to talk about it in a public format and I am proud of her for doing it. It isn't always the easiest thing to talk about but I felt that I needed to bring it up because it is such a big issue in so many people's lives. If you are one of these people struggling with a mental illness know that you are not alone. According to National Alliance on Mental Illness 1 in 5 adults experience mental illness in a given year. Here are some resources that I hope you can find helpful.

If you are struggling, tell someone. It is the most important thing you can do.
